Telemetry RN Job in Alliance, NE

You will work as a Telemetry RN in a 25-bed Patient Care Unit at Box Butte General Hospital in Alliance, Nebraska. This is a Med/Tele Charge RN position with a charge differential of $5 per hour on top of your base rate.

Schedule and Pay

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• $2,521 weekly pay
• 88-day assignment starting September 29, 2026

The Unit

The unit occupies the 2nd floor with 23 standard beds and 2 Medical Decision Unit beds. Your patient population includes COPD exacerbations, CHF, swing bed patients, amputations, wound care patients on long-term antibiotics, postpartum, and pediatric patients. Your typical patient ratio is 1:4, with occasional stretches to 1:5. A dedicated Charge Nurse works every shift and carries no patients.

Resources and Support

• Central telemetry monitoring with two portable telemetry monitors
• Social Services on the floor with 3 Case Managers
• One to two Nurse Aides or Unit Clerk per shift
• In-house Pharmacy until 11:00 PM Monday through Friday; remote Pharmacist through UNMC overnight and weekends
• 24/7 Lab with blood draw services
• Excellent Therapy services with patients seen multiple times daily
• Meditech Expanse charting system and Alaris pumps

Additional Duties

You may float to the Emergency Department and function as a task nurse when needed.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry unit
• Previous experience working in a Critical Access Hospital
• BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association) certification required; PALS preferred
• Reliable personal transportation (Uber and Lyft services are not available in the area)
• Navy blue scrubs required

Orientation

Orientation is held every Wednesday and consists of three days of classroom training plus one shift with a preceptor.
