NICU RN Job in Tucson, AZ

You'll work as an RN in a Level III NICU with 36 beds at BUMC Tucson, located at 1625 N Campbell Ave. This is a 3x12 day shift position with an 89-day duration, starting August 24, 2026. You'll earn $2,582.10 per week.

Your Role

You'll assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for neonatal patients according to organizational policies. You'll provide specialized nursing care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of your assigned patients, completing patient assessments and reassessments based on patient needs and policy requirements. You'll formulate and implement care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members, delegate appropriately, and provide nursing supervision to other personnel. Documentation of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation will be recorded in patient records. You may float to appropriate pediatric unit assignments as needed and participate in unit shared leadership and educational activities.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years NICU RN experience
• Prior travel healthcare experience
• Current valid RN license in state of practice
• BLS certification

Physical Demands

This role involves frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, and stretching. You must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics for patient transfers. You'll need adequate hearing, visual acuity, fine motor skills, and eye-hand coordination. You'll work with standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
