Registered Nurse - Operating Room @ MUSC Health Charleston

Job Details:

• Work as an Ambulatory OR RN in a 9-operating room facility
• Schedule options: 3x12 hour shifts (6:30 AM - 7:00 PM) or 4x10 hour shifts (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM), Monday-Friday
• One late week per 4 weeks required to complete cases
• No weekends or on-call responsibilities
• No major holidays required
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: South Carolina or Compact RN License, BLS
• Radiation badge provided by parent company
• Epic charting system experience required
• Preferred experience in Ophthalmology, Ortho, ENT, GYN, GU, Endocrine, Surgical Oncology
• Possibility of floating within Periop facility
• May be required to precept care team members in the operating room
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• 30 hours of orientation provided
• Guaranteed hours with possible call-off of 10 hours per 2-week period
• Work with adults only
• Experience with special equipment including lasers, Mini C-Arm, Storz video towers, Arthrex arthroscopy towers
• Handle various procedures including joint replacements, arthroscopies, plastics, surgical oncology, ophthalmology, and minimally invasive surgeries
• During hurricane season (June-November), may be assigned to emergency response teams
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Local candidates accepted within 50-mile radius
