Special Procedures Technologist Job in Charlottesville, VA

University of Virginia Medical Center is seeking an Allied Health Professional Special Procedures Technologist for a 13-week assignment in Charlottesville, Virginia. You will work 8-hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a rotating on-call schedule every fourth week.

Role Overview

You will provide imaging support in the operating room, working directly with vascular interventional radiology procedures. This is a technologist position—not a nursing role. You'll gain hands-on experience with advanced interventional techniques and state-of-the-art equipment in a Level I trauma center.

Required Qualifications

• ARRT VI certification and current BLS certification
• Virginia state license (pending license acceptable if eligible for temporary license)
• Minimum 2 years of interventional radiology or special procedures experience
• Epic charting system proficiency

Preferred Experience

• Trauma Level I facility experience
• Angioplasty, carotid stenting, and endovascular interventions (EVAR, TEVAR)
• Hybrid OR procedures
• Thrombolysis and thrombectomy
• Upper and lower extremity angiography
• Ultrasound skills
• Vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
• Siemens equipment and ARTIS PHENO system familiarity
