Certified Surgical Technologist Job in Vail, CO

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a 13-week assignment at Vail Health Hospital in Vail, Colorado. You will work a 3x12 rotating shift schedule with 32 guaranteed hours per week, starting May 11, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,233.80.

Your Role

You will assist surgical teams during operative procedures while maintaining sterile field integrity and ensuring patient safety. Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse, you will provide instrumentation, monitor for contamination events, and take corrective action as needed. You will participate in Time Out processes including briefings and debriefings, and function with competency on Tier 1 surgical cases. Additional responsibilities include patient transports, operating room preparation and turnovers, and cleaning and preparing instruments for terminal sterilization.

Requirements

• Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program and/or Licensed Surgical Technologist credential
• Colorado Surgical Technologist license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by American Heart Association
• Computer skills or ability to obtain them within 90 days for online learning requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile and aseptic technique with knowledge of human anatomy and surgical procedures
• Work in accordance with AORN standards and operating room safety protocols
• Assist with patient care across all age populations, from neonatal to geriatric
• Stand approximately 50% of the shift, walk 20%, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
