Job Details:

• 12-hour day shifts from 5:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week (except during orientation week and unit closures on holidays)
• Any missed shifts must be made up within 2 weeks of the absence
• Weekend rotation of up to every other weekend (every weekend travelers also welcome)
• Holiday rotation based on unit need
• Float requirements throughout the facility within skillset and to all affiliated facilities within a 60-mile radius
• No on-call or callback requirements
• 13-week contract
• Associate Degree or Certificate required
• Minimum 3+ years of RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical Neurology experience required
• ICU, IMC (intermediate care), or stepdown ICU experience strongly preferred
• Previous travel contract strongly preferred
• Required certifications: WI RN license (or compact), AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS
• EPIC charting experience within the last year strongly preferred
• Experience with stroke and post-op back, spine, and cervical cases required (hard stops)
• Primary cases include stroke, post-op spinal and brain surgeries, EVD, Neuro EMBO, stents, post TNK, and TBI
• 16-bed neurology unit primarily serving post-stroke patients, post-op brain, neck, and spine surgery patients, trauma patients, and TBI patients
• Patient ratios of 1:1-4 during day shifts
• Typical unit staffing includes 4-5 RNs per shift, 2 patient care technicians, and LPN support when available
