NICU RN Job in Wichita, KS

You will work as an RN in an 84-bed NICU at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. This is a seasonal travel assignment running 91 days, starting June 30, 2026.

Shift and Schedule

• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 3 shifts per week
• Weekly pay: $1,839.60

Unit Overview

You will care for neonatal patients in a Level IV NICU with patient ratios of 2:1 in NICU and 3:1 in NSCU. You will work alongside charge CNC nurses, RNs, unit secretaries, and respiratory therapists to deliver family-centered care and support exceptional patient experiences.

Clinical Responsibilities

• IV placement and vascular access management
• Whole body cooling for temperature management
• Support for surgical cases including NEC, PDA, and CVC procedures
• Post-operative care following PDA ligations
• High frequency ventilation management
• Chest tube management and monitoring
• Developmental supportive care

Equipment and Systems

You will work with Medela, Alaris, Ohmeda, and Drager equipment. Monitors include Philips and GE ECG machines. The electronic medical records system is Neonatal Notes Manager/Meditech.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in Kansas
• Minimum 1 year of acute care NICU hospital experience
• BLS certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Level IV NICU experience
• Prior Meditech experience
