Job Details:

• Available shifts: 6:15 AM - 6:45 PM, 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, and 6:15 PM - 6:45 AM
• Night shift hours: 11:00 PM - 11:00 AM with weekends as scheduled
• Every-other-weekend requirement including both Saturday and Sunday for days and nights
• Work in holiday rotation schedule
• 32-bed emergency department with a separate Fast Track area open 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM
• Patient ratios: 1:4 in Main ER, 1:5 in the 5-bed lower acuity area, and 1:4-6 in Fast Track
• No floating outside of the emergency department
• 1-2 shifts of orientation with a preceptor
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• Charting system: EPIC
• BSN not required
• Trauma Level 2 facility
• Acute care setting
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
• May perform aerosols for non-vented patients
• Work with Servo ventilators
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• No false nails permitted
• Must submit a copy of an unexpired driver's license with application (50-mile radius rule applies)
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Preferred certifications: PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Common diagnoses include chest pain, respiratory failure, abdominal pain, closed head injuries, and occasional GSW; 15% pediatric population; major traumas are stabilized and transferred to a Level 1 Trauma Center approximately 40-45 minutes away
