Echo Technologist Job in Waterloo, IA

UnityPoint – Allen Hospital in Waterloo, IA is seeking an Echo Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment. This position offers a 5x8 day schedule at $2,822.40 per week, starting June 29, 2026.

Role Overview

You will perform echocardiography procedures and vascular diagnostic imaging in a fast-paced clinical environment. Your responsibilities include conducting echo studies, managing on-call duties, and maintaining equipment proficiency across multiple platforms.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 24 months of experience in echo or vascular diagnostics
• Completion of at least one travel contract within the past 12 months (no first-time travelers)
• TEE (transesophageal echo) experience required
• Pediatric case experience highly preferred
• Proficiency with Phillips and GE equipment
• Current RDCS and RCS certifications
• Cardiovascular Credentialing International certification required
• Valid driver's license

Schedule Details

You will work day shifts Monday through Friday. On-call responsibilities include 1–2 weeknights per week and one weekend every fifth weekend. Weekend work includes every fourth weekend, with holiday rotation if scheduled. You are required to work 1–2 of the three upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed.
