<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - Med Surg</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work on a 36-bed adult surgical unit caring primarily for trauma and acute care surgical patients<br>• RN patient ratios: days 1:4, nights 1:5<br>• Fast-paced medical surgical unit requiring Level I Trauma center experience preferred or several years at Level II Trauma center<br>• Minimum 1.5 years of recent equivalent experience required<br>• Must have experience with chest tubes, various tubes, and complex drips including Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, and amiodarone<br>• Handle lines/tubes/drains for post-surgical patients<br>• Care for patients with trachs/laryngectomies<br>• Monitor telemetry and manage complex wounds<br>• Provide central line care, maintenance, and blood draws<br>• Work with common diagnoses including spinal cord injuries (quadriplegics and paraplegics), traumatic brain injuries, orthopedic trauma injuries<br>• Handle acute care surgical cases such as hernia repair, small bowel obstructions, appendectomy, and cholecystectomy<br>• Unit includes 2 negative pressure rooms for specialized patient care<br>• Required credentials: NH RN License or Compact License with proof of state residency, BLS certification</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This medical center operates a specialized adult surgical unit focused on trauma and acute care surgical patients.
