PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

• Work 5x8-hour day shifts with multiple start times between 5:30 AM and 1:00 PM
• Shared position supporting Surgical and Endoscopy Pre-op and Recovery areas
• Must be flexible and able to transition between all phases including Preop, PACU Phase 1, and PACU Phase 2
• Shift start location may vary between Preop and PACU depending on scheduling needs
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: Preop 1:3, Phase 1 1:2, Phase 2 1:1-3
• 18-bed unit consisting of 13 General OR beds and 5 Endoscopy beds
• Common cases include General, Breast, Ortho, Urology, and OBGYN
• Responsibilities include preparing patients for surgery, post-anesthesia recovery, airway management, and pain management
• Staff assist with restocking and patient turnover between cases
• Must be able to read and identify rhythm changes and life-threatening rhythms
• May be asked to participate in call schedule for weeknights, weekends, and holidays
• Call response time is 30 minutes
• Scrubs are provided
• Must have a minimum of 1 year of Preop and PACU experience
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
