PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Option for 4x10-hour shifts or 5x8-hour shifts per week
• Schedule options: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8-hour shifts) or four 10-hour shifts per week, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Must be willing to float between Preoperative and PACU areas as patient care needs require
• Provide professional nursing care in accordance with ANA Standards of Care and Standards of Professional Nursing Practice
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to promote optimal patient and family outcomes through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
• Perform airway management and demonstrate strong critical thinking and assessment skills
• Provide discharge teaching and patient and family-centered care
• Minimum of 2–3 years of recent Preoperative and/or PACU nursing experience required
• Pediatric Preoperative/PACU experience preferred
• Must have pediatric experience
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Permanent Ohio or Compact nursing license required
• Required certifications: CPR/BLS, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Scrub color: Navy
