ICU RN Job in Alexandria, LA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in the Intensive Care Unit at CHRISTUS St Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, LA. This is a 91-day contract position with a start date of March 30, 2026.

Position Details

• Shift: 3x12 nights per week
• Weekly pay: $2,444.04
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 2:1 for ICU patients, 4:1 for IMCU patients
• Every other weekend requirement
• No on-call or floating requirements

Clinical Experience Required

You will provide routine and complex nursing care in a mixed cardiac and medical ICU setting. Experience with intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impellas, post-operative cardiovascular surgeries, and CRRT is required. You will care for patients with DKA, acute respiratory failure, myocardial infarctions, CABGs, and those on mechanical ventilation.

Your Responsibilities

• Assess patients and implement nursing interventions using the nursing process
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess patient and family learning needs and provide education
• Work under preceptorship with designated trained staff and competency validation

Required Qualifications

• Current Louisiana RN license or valid Compact state license
• BLS certification from American Heart Association
• ACLS certification from American Heart Association
• One year of critical care experience preferred; new graduates accepted
• Must complete New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire
