<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - CCU</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Multiple shifts available with 12-hour scheduling<br>• Work every other weekend with no on-call requirements<br>• No floating required - dedicated to CCU unit<br>• Nurse to patient ratio: 2:1 for ICU patients and 4:1 for IMCU patients<br>• Must have experience with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps, Impellas, Post-op Cardiovascular surgeries, and CRRT<br>• Care for patients with DKA, Acute Respiratory Failure, MIs, CABGs, and ventilator patients in mixed cardiac and medical ICU<br>• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS certification from AHA<br>• Current Louisiana RN license or current Compact state license required<br>• One year of Critical Care experience preferred but will accept new graduates<br>• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred<br>• Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire<br>• Complete organizational entry competency validation and Critical Care Department-specific competency validation<br>• Provide complex nursing care using nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation<br>• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness<br>• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care given<br>• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients and families</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare facility operates a mixed cardiac and medical intensive care unit providing comprehensive critical care services.
