ED RN Job in Augusta, GA

AU Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a registered nurse for the Emergency Department in Augusta, GA. You will work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with an on-call requirement of 2 to 24-hour shifts every 8 weeks. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting June 16, 2026, with weekly pay of $1,864.80.

In this role, you will deliver direct patient care using the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will provide relationship-based, patient-centered care tailored to population-specific needs including age, gender, and disease state. Working in a fast-paced emergency environment, you will respond to emergencies with composure and decisiveness.

Your responsibilities include:

• Coordinate safe, quality patient care using interdisciplinary communication methods and documentation standards
• Partner with patients and their families through bedside shift reports, interdisciplinary rounds, and patient teaching
• Participate in performance improvement activities, research initiatives, and shared governance
• Serve as a preceptor or mentor for professional nurses, staff, and students
• Support evidence-based practice and nursing research within your unit
• Proactively plan patient care across the continuum while delivering direct care

Required qualifications:

• Active RN license (single state or multi-state compact)
• Associate's, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred)
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification (within 180 days of start)
• PALS certification (within 180 days of start)
• TNCC certification (within 18 months of start)
• Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills
• Excellent critical thinking, time management, and computer skills
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment
