About this role
You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Telemetry unit at Piedmont Augusta Hospital. This is a 98-day travel assignment beginning June 22, 2026, with three 12-hour day shifts per week at $1,814.40 weekly.
Your Role
You'll provide direct patient care in a 36-bed telemetry unit with an average daily census of 35. Your patient ratio will be 1:4–5 adults and geriatric patients. You'll manage conditions including CHF, MI and chest pain, dysrhythmias, hypertension and hypotension, pleural effusion, sepsis, and PE/DVT/vascular issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration, including milrinone, dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Lidocaine, Bumex, and Heparin
- Perform telemetry monitoring and cardiac assessments
- Administer blood products and manage central lines
- Maintain IV management and provide wound care
- Use Epic charting, Pyxis, and SBAR documentation
- Float within the facility and scope of practice as needed
Schedule and Requirements
You'll work every other weekend unless specified otherwise. Major holidays falling within your assignment period are required work days. There are no on-call requirements. You may take up to 7 days of requested time off per contract, with blackout dates during Spring Break (April 4–12). Navy blue scrubs are required.
Qualifications
You must hold current RN licensure with BLS and ACLS certification (NIH preferred). Two years of telemetry experience is required; first-time travelers are accepted. You'll receive 12 hours of orientation before your assignment begins, and full compliance is necessary to start on time.
