About this role
Arkansas Children's Hospital is seeking an RN to join their pediatric critical care team in Little Rock. You'll work 3x12 night shifts for 91 days beginning May 18, 2026, earning $2,430.90 weekly.
Role Overview
You will staff either the 26-bed PICU or 13-bed IMCU with required floating within the ICU cluster. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:1–2 in PICU and 1:3–4 in IMICU. You'll work every other weekend on a manager/scheduler-driven schedule with no on-call duties, though holiday coverage is required as needed. You will have CNA or PCT support (1–2 per shift) and work alongside respiratory therapists who manage ventilators alongside nursing staff.
Patient Population & Equipment
You will care for pediatric patients with respiratory distress, CRRT, ECMO, trauma, neuro cases, surgical post-ops, and various acute conditions. Equipment includes GE Dash monitors, Servi I devices, and long-term ventilators. You will use the Pyxis medication system with bar code scanning and have recent experience with EPIC EMR.
Requirements
- RN degree
- Current PALS and BLS certification
- 2–5 years clinical experience in pediatric specialty
- Minimum two years PICU experience for PICU role; IMICU candidates must have prior PICU experience due to cluster floating
- One previous travel nursing assignment required
- Negative nicotine test required
- Willingness to follow Arkansas Children's Hospital dress code
Onboarding
Plan for 2–3 days of orientation and specialty testing. This role is an excellent fit if you have solid pediatric ICU experience, are comfortable with high-acuity floating assignments, and want to contribute to a dedicated children's hospital environment.
