Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• No call responsibilities
• No 48-hour shifts or block scheduling
• Must request RTO in packet
• 1 year of experience required
• Navy scrubs required
• Patient ratio of 15-20 patients per round on busy days
• Work in medical-surgical, ICU, and emergency room units
• Perform breathing treatments, ventilator placement and checks, BiPAP placement and checks, arterial blood gases
• Operate equipment including AIRVO for high humidity, V60 and Trilogy EV300 for BiPAP/CPAP, Puritan Bennett 840 & 980, LTV1200 for vents
• Provide basic oxygen modalities and perform EKGs
• Use Cerner EMR system
• Required certifications: Tennessee Respiratory License, BLS, PALS, ACLS (AHA or ARC), NRP
• Assist in diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with pulmonary disorders
• Collect and analyze sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine gas levels
• Measure lung capacity to determine impairments
• Must live greater than 50 miles from facility
