Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour shifts per week with every other weekend coverage
• Willing to rotate between acute and long-term care settings
• Call required for nights if possible - 1 every other week
• Patient ratio experience required: 1:20
• At least 6 weekend shifts per 13-week contract
• 36 hours of orientation
• Dress code requires any shade of gray or gray/black combination scrubs
• Must have 1 year of experience minimum
• NY license required in hand to submit
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• Required certifications: BLS and RRT
• Work settings: Adult Critical Care and Emergency Department required
• Provide care for patients with CHF, COPD, pneumonia, respiratory failure, and respiratory infections
• Perform ABG sampling, ventilator management, patient assessment, and pulmonary hygiene
• Work with specialized equipment including Hamilton vents, Servo-U vents, NKV330 devices, AirVO2, Dream machines, and V30s
• Airway management including endotracheal tube/suctioning, extubation assist, intubation assist, and tracheostomy care
• Oxygen therapy and ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Float assignments required
• Candidates within 75 miles of facility not accepted
• Up to 5 hours of billable modules completed pre-start
