Job Details:

• Operate computed tomography (CT) equipment to process cross-sectional images of patient's body for diagnostic purposes
• Perform diagnostic CT examinations according to department policies and protocols
• Screen, prepare, and position patients for CT procedures with reference to diagnoses and body part
• Utilize advanced image manipulations such as 3D rendering, reformation, and reconstruction
• Evaluate CT studies for quality and completeness
• Send images to PACS system, evaluate exam for completeness, and verify exams in a timely manner
• Develop and maintain working knowledge of all PACS capabilities
• Administer contrast media as directed by Radiologist
• Maintain radiation safety for patients, staff, and family members
• Maintain accurate documentation on logbook worksheet and charging of examinations and supplies
• Communicate clearly with patients, explaining procedures in a concise manner
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and staff
• 0 to 6 months of related experience required
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology required
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program required
• Registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R) required
• BLS certification required
