About this role
ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Allied Health Professional Endoscopy Technician for a 91-day travel assignment at MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Northeast in Columbia, South Carolina.
Role Overview
You will work day shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM on a 4x10 schedule, assisting physicians with a full range of endoscopy procedures. Your responsibilities include scope cleaning and reprocessing, patient care at a 1:1 ratio, room setup and teardown, and specimen handling. You will rotate between the reprocessing room and procedure assistance as needed to support facility operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, EUS, and flex sigmoidoscopy procedures
- Operate endoscopes, enteroscopes, electrosurgical units, fluoroscopy equipment, and ERBE portable instruments
- Support biopsies, balloon dilations, stenting, and foreign body removal procedures
- Perform high-level disinfection, instrument processing, sterilization, and scope reprocessing
- Label and manage pathology, cytology, and microbiology specimens
- Complete room setup, procedure setup, restocking, and room closing
- Follow universal protocol and infection control standards

- Weekly Pay: $1,586
- On-call: 1 day per week Monday–Thursday and every third weekend; must remain within 30 minutes of facility
- Potential call-offs: 1 shift per 2 weeks
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years endoscopy technician experience
- Current BLS certification
- Weekend availability required
- First-time travelers accepted
