Description
<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - IMC</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM<br>• 3x12 shift schedule<br>• Patient ratio of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends<br>• Every other weekend coverage required based on operational needs<br>• Float required to Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units as needed (1:5/1:6 ratio)<br>• No call required<br>• 24-hour orientation provided<br>• 2 years of nursing experience required<br>• PCU/IMC/Stepdown experience required<br>• First-time travelers accepted<br>• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS<br>• Must pass Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms<br>• Provide bedside monitoring for up to 8 patients<br>• Work with ultrasound IV, cardiac monitoring, and lift equipment<br>• Manage patients with diagnoses including CHF, diabetes, COPD/asthma, sepsis, pneumothorax, ESRD/dialysis, hypertension/hypotension, ETOH withdrawal, and general surgery<br>• Perform special procedures including chest tubes, PCA infusions, bedside monitoring, non-titratable drips, and IV infusions<br>• Caribbean blue scrubs required (not provided by facility)<br>• Flu vaccine required with no exemptions<br>• One pre-approved time off request allowed per contract</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare facility operates a 15-bed Intermediate Care unit providing specialized care for adult patients requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing interventions. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services.
