About this role

You will provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit at Banner Desert Medical Center, located at 1400 S Dobson Rd in Mesa, Arizona. This is a 3x12 night shift position with an 89-day duration, starting July 27, 2026. You will earn $2,446.20 per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care according to professional nursing practice standards
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural needs, and discharge planning
  • Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
  • Formulate and manage individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Provide direct patient care based on physician orders and the nursing plan of care while maintaining compliance with policies and procedures
  • Delegate and supervise activities of licensed nurses and other healthcare personnel as appropriate
  • Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation in patient records
  • Participate in unit or facility shared leadership initiatives
  • Contribute to education and orientation of facility personnel
  • Actively participate in improvement of national nursing quality indicators and outcomes

Required Qualifications:

  • Current, valid RN license
  • Minimum 2 years of Level 1 Trauma experience
  • Stroke experience
  • CCRN certification
  • TNCC or ATCN certification
  • NIHSS certification
  • BLS certification

Physical Requirements: You must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently. You must be able to lift up to 75 pounds. You will use standard precautions due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids.

A bachelor's degree and additional professional certifications are preferred.
