Opportunity:

Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician

Job Details:

• Perform technical nuclear medicine exams accurately and in a timely manner, including equipment operation, patient transfers, and correct patient positioning
• Perform and document quality control on all equipment to ensure calibration, regulatory compliance, and proper operational specifications
• Prepare, administer, dispose of, and document radiopharmaceuticals, pharmaceuticals, oral contrast, and IV contrast under physician and Medical Director protocols
• Accurately document and maintain records of shipping, receiving, use, storage, and disposal of all radioisotopes per NRC, DEQ, and facility policies
• Document and maintain room surveys, wipe tests, bioassays, and assist in quality attainment programs
• Schedule exams, verify physician written orders, and send documentation to medical records
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of rooms and equipment, and stock supplies and linen as needed
• Cross-train in other department technologies as required
• Exercise independent judgment in planning sequence of operations and making decisions in complex technical situations
• Work directly with patients, internal customers, external customers, and other healthcare professionals
• Minimum 6 months of related experience required; minimum 5 years of experience preferred
• At least 1 year of previous traveler experience required
• PET experience required
• Siemens equipment experience required; GE equipment experience preferred
• Epic experience required
• Excellent time management, multitasking, organizational, and prioritizing skills required
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required
• Graduate from an AMA approved program in Nuclear Medicine Technology required
• Required certification: CNMT (Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology) or ARRT (N) License
• CPR certification required
