Vascular Tech - Vascular Medicine

Job Details:

• Shift varies - could be 12 or 8 hour shifts with times ranging from 7AM-7:30PM, 7AM-5:30PM, or 8AM-5PM
• Weekend work required
• On-call responsibilities required with own transportation necessary
• Floating required between two campuses
• Work with 10-15 patients per day including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room patients
• Perform advanced cardiac and vascular circulation diagnostic exams using echo, ultrasound, and/or Doppler equipment
• Conduct ultrasound examinations of cerebral, peripheral, and abdominal vessels
• May perform therapeutic procedures such as pseudoaneurysm compression
• Record and maintain test data and prepare preliminary interpretations
• May perform routine abdominal, small parts, breast, OB/GYN, and other vascular ultrasound procedures
• Assist physicians with biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and needle localization procedures
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Sonography or Radiology Technology Program required
• 1-2 years of experience in vascular ultrasound preferred
• Registered Vascular Specialist (RSV) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) from ARDMS, CCI, or ARRT required
• BLS certification from AHA required
• Temp to perm possibility available
