Pharmacist Job in Durango, CO

Mercy Hospital in Durango, CO is seeking a Pharmacist for inpatient pharmacy services. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 12, 2026, with rotating 16-hour shifts and weekly pay of $3,040.

About the Role

You will provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care across all hospital service areas, including the emergency room, ICU, inpatient units, imaging, catheterization laboratory, and hospice. Your responsibilities include:

• Performing Pyxis medication pulls and patient medication reviews
• Conducting medication therapy management (DTM) consultations
• Participating in multidisciplinary rounds and medication dosing reviews
• Managing phone triage for pharmacy-related inquiries
• Overseeing medication protocols and dosing standards
• Preparing and compounding sterile products per hospital pharmacy operations standards
• Utilizing the Epic EHR system and Pyxis medication dispensing technology

Schedule and Requirements

Variable 10-hour shifts operate between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM. You will work every other weekend (typically every 4th to 6th weekend based on scheduling needs), maintain on-call availability one night per week, and cover assigned holiday shifts. Hospital-laundered scrubs are provided.

Qualifications

You must hold a valid Colorado Pharmacist License and current BLS certification through the American Heart Association. Experience with sterile compounding, hospital pharmacy operations, medication dispensing systems, and electronic health records is required.
