ED RN Job in Hartford, CT

Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center in Hartford, CT is seeking an RN for the Emergency Department. You will work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three days per week, with guaranteed 36 hours weekly. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning May 10, 2026.

In this role, you will manage inpatient hold patients and support emergency department operations in a fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities include:

• Managing inpatient hold RN ratios and patient acuity
• Handling emergency department patient flow and care
• Working with varying patient acuity levels throughout your shift
• Participating in every other weekend rotation

You should be comfortable transitioning between inpatient holds and emergency department patients as needed. This position requires flexibility and the ability to prioritize care in a dynamic setting where patient needs and census fluctuate throughout your shift.
