RN - Acute Care

Job Details:

• Work 40 hours per week on a 4x10 schedule
• Shift start times vary between 6:30 AM, 7:00 AM, or 7:30 AM depending on assigned role for the day
• No weekends or holidays except during call rotation
• Call rotation includes 6-8 days of call per month, which must include 1 Friday, 1 Saturday, and 1 Sunday
• Call rotation also includes one weekday of call per week
• On-call response time is 1 hour
• Provide high quality, compassionate care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patient populations
• Assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate patient progress in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Deliver specialized endoscopy nursing care to patients admitted for medical conditions
• Administer medications and apply clinical interventions as required
• Provide patient and family education to support self-care beyond hospitalization, including lifestyle changes
• Promote comfort and emotional support within a healing environment
• Advocate for patient health, safety, and rights while fostering teamwork and mutual respect
• Participate in quality improvement activities and engage in ongoing professional development
• Anticipate exposure to bloodborne pathogens, blood, body fluids, and tissues
• NYS RN Licensure required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an endoscopy environment as a Registered Nurse required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
