About this role
You'll work as a Special Procedures Technologist in our interventional radiology department at Waterbury Hospital. This is a 91-day travel assignment running from July 6, 2026, at $3,110.40 per week.
Schedule and Expectations
- Work a 5x8 day schedule: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Call requirement every third week: Monday–Friday 5:00 PM to 7:30 AM, and 24 hours on Saturday, Sunday, and holidays
- 24 hours of orientation provided
Your Role
You'll support interventional radiology procedures for adult and geriatric patients. Your responsibilities include setting up sterile equipment, maintaining sterile technique, and assisting with a range of IR procedures such as angioplasty, embolization, catheter exchanges, central venous access, stent placement, and TIPS procedures. You'll document in the Cerner system and work with Merge PACS imaging software.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of interventional radiology experience as an IR tech
- First-time travelers must have extensive IR tech background
- Current ARRT R certification and BLS certification required
- ARRT VI certification preferred
- Comfort with isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Experience with Siemens equipment preferred
