Respiratory Therapist Job in Marietta, GA

Kennestone Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for their Respiratory Care Services department. You will work 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a preference for weekend-only scheduling, though every-other-weekend work is required. Holiday coverage is also expected. This is a 91-day travel position starting May 15, 2026, with no call responsibilities.

About the Role

You will perform comprehensive patient assessments and therapy evaluations, administer aerosolized medications, and provide bronchial hygiene, volume expansion, and oxygen and medical gas therapy. Your responsibilities include managing ventilators, weaning protocols, waveform graphic interpretation, and airway management. You will perform arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, assist in invasive and non-invasive procedures, and support cardiac service and pulmonary diagnostic testing. Patient and family education, as well as mentoring new employees and peers, are part of your duties. You must maintain accurate electronic orders, charting, and charging information with strong communication, critical thinking, and computer skills.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of clinical experience with a minimum of 6 months in critical care
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (within 180 days), NBRC-RRT, and RCP
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred
• Experience with Epic documentation and adult critical care preferred
