CVOR RN Job in Asheville, NC

You will join Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 29, 2026.

Shift and Schedule:

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
• Monday through Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM core hours
• Occasional stays 1–2 times per week as needed

Compensation:

• $2,496.60 per week

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a 4-bed unit with 1:1 patient ratios
• Perform large-bore IV starts, medication administration, and comprehensive skin assessments
• Assist with placement of arterial lines, central lines, and epidural catheters
• Conduct chin-to-toe hair removal and skin preparation
• Transport patients to the operating room and assist with induction, intubation, positioning, and surgical skin prep
• Float within your scope of practice and experience as needed
• Maintain detailed, accurate documentation in the Cerner system
• Work independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with strong critical thinking skills
• Communicate effectively with interdepartmental teams

Technology and Equipment:

• GE Carescape Monitoring systems
• Fuji ultrasound equipment
• Cerner electronic health record documentation

Required Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Critical care experience required
• PreOp experience preferred

Unit Environment:

You will work alongside experienced RNs with support from a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, secretary, and manager shared with CVOR. Scrubs are provided as part of the dress code requirements.
