ICU RN Job in Silverdale, WA

St Michael Medical Center is seeking an experienced RN to join its ICU team in Silverdale, WA. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting August 17, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,419.11.

Position Details

• Work 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, days (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) or nights (7:00 PM–7:30 AM)
• Self-scheduling in 6-week blocks, balanced and reviewed by management
• Weekend requirement based on unit needs; high demand for Sundays currently
• Holiday rotation with permanent staff; no on-call or standby requirements
• Float between 4th, 5th, or 6th floors, ED holds, or medical/surgical telemetry floors as assigned

Clinical Environment

• 24-bed Medical ICU/PCU float unit with patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU acuity and 1:3–4 for PCU acuity
• Common diagnoses: sepsis, COPD, pneumonia, post-cardiac arrest, post-surgical, and cath lab overflow patients
• Charge nurse and resource nurse present on every shift without patient assignment
• CNA support at 1:8 ratio (1:10 nights)

Required Skills and Competencies

• Minimum 2 years ICU experience
• Titrate ICU drips including sedation, vasoactive medications, and paralytics
• Monitor telemetry, measure, and interpret strips independently
• Manage respiratory therapy equipment: CPAP, BiPAP, and ventilators
• Specialty skills preferred: Swan management, Prismaflex CRRT, IABP, and Arctic Sun
• EPIC charting system; experience preferred or ability to test out if used within the last year

Requirements

• Current Washington State license or compact license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Valid driver's license at time of submission
• Professional color scrubs required
