Telemetry RN Job in Ontario, OH

Avita Ontario Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Med Surg Telemetry unit. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 31, 2026.

Position Details

• Specialty: Med Surg Telemetry
• Shift: 3x12 nights
• Weekly pay: $2,203.20
• Staffing ratio: 1:5

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent consecutive Med Surg experience in a hospital or acute care setting
• Travel experience required; no first-time travelers
• Valid state RN license (pending licenses not accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Charting system experience required
• Knowledge of medication scanning
• Two recent supervisory references

Clinical Skills

• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Rapid Response and Code team protocols
• Peripheral line care and management
• Nasal cannula and oxygen administration
• Non-invasive airway management
• Isolation precautions and PPE protocols

Expectations

• On-call required; must be able to return to facility within 1 hour when called
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Willingness to float to other campuses (Bucyrus and Galion Med Surg Tele units) if census drops to maintain hours
• No major holiday time off will be approved
• Smoke-free facility and campus
