MRI Technologist Job in Nashville, TN

You will work as an MRI Technologist at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting July 6, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,647.71.

Shift and Schedule

• 3x12 night shifts per week
• Monday–Thursday: 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM
• Friday–Sunday: 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM (or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM per department notes)
• No call requirements for travelers

Your Role

You will perform a wide range of MRI procedures including chest, abdomen, spine, neuro, MSK, and body imaging. Procedures typically range from 40 to 120 minutes. You will work in a 3-room MRI department with 2 scanners running 24/7 and operate Philips equipment: two 1.5T scanners and one 3.0T scanner (all closed machines). You will be required to perform injections and will have float assignment responsibilities.

Work Environment

You will never work alone—4 to 5 staff members are present on each shift. The environment handles a higher volume of requests with leadership and physician support available. This role requires demonstrated motivation and the ability to work effectively in a high-volume setting.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years MRI experience
• ARRT certification (RT, MRI)
• AHA BLS certification
