CVOR Technologist Job in Florence, SC

McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with CVOR specialization for a 91-day travel assignment. You will work 5x8 days with weekday hours and weekend call responsibilities, earning $2,686.40 weekly. Start date: August 9, 2026.

Role Overview:

As a CVOR Technologist, you will support cardiovascular and vascular surgical procedures in a high-volume operating room environment, averaging 6 cases per day. You will work directly under surgeon supervision to maintain sterile field integrity and ensure safe, efficient surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain sterile instruments, sutures, and equipment throughout procedures
• Perform initial and ongoing instrument, sharps, and sponge counts
• Assist with patient positioning, prepping, and draping per department standards
• Establish and maintain sterile field using highest standards of sterile technique
• Participate in surgical site verification during timeout procedures
• Prepare and pass off specimens as appropriate
• Assist in patient lifting, turning, and positioning using proper body mechanics
• Clean and prepare instruments for sterilization
• Use standard precautions and PPE when handling hazardous substances
• Demonstrate competency in access control, emergency management, infection control, and communication

Requirements:

• NBSTSA certification required
• Flexibility, punctuality, and willingness to learn in surgical environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers
