Oncology RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

Mercy Hospital South in Saint Louis, MO is seeking an RN for a travel assignment on the Oncology unit. This is a 13-week night shift position running 3x12 hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with weekly guaranteed hours of 36–48 per week at $2,365.20 weekly pay.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:5–6 on a 15-bed unit
• Administer medications and perform physical assessments
• Document all care in the EPIC EMR system
• Coordinate care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient comfort and outcomes
• Care for oncology patients, including neuro overflow, medical patients, and end-of-life patients
• Operate equipment including Alaris pumps, NOVA glucometers, and remote telemetry
• Float to other units within the med/surg service line as needed

Schedule & Requirements:

• Night shift orientation occurs during day hours; you must be available the entire orientation week
• No more than every other weekend required; weekend scheduling based on unit needs
• Call requirements as determined by the facility
• Black scrubs only

Qualifications:

• Current RN license; must be eligible for or currently licensed in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of oncology inpatient experience
• BLS certification from AHA (required)
• ONS Chemo Certification (preferred)
