Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with weekends scheduled as needed
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6/7 - must be comfortable with ratio up to 1:7
• 30-bed unit with acute care setting
• Charge RN on the floor with assignment
• Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) available on the unit
• Common diagnoses include CHF, COPD, cellulitis, R/O, chole, appe, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI
• Required to titrate heparin drips based on APTT results
• Intermittent BIPAP management required (no ventilators)
• Telemetry monitored remotely by monitor technicians
• Floating to other units as needed based on census - traveling staff floated first
• Scheduling managed through Qgenda system
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• BSN not required
• Must reside outside of 50-mile radius - copy of unexpired driver's license required at submission
• Any licensing hits must be disclosed at time of submission
