Respiratory Therapist Job in Grand Forks, ND

You will work as a Respiratory Therapist in the NICU at Altru, providing specialized respiratory care to neonatal patients. This is a 90-day travel assignment with a start date of May 18, 2026.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform respiratory evaluations and patient assessments for NICU patients
• Deliver diagnostic and therapeutic treatment and provide physician assistance
• Provide patient education and family teaching based on individual needs
• Monitor and identify significant changes in patient condition, taking appropriate action
• Perform pain assessments according to standard operating procedures
• Complete comprehensive documentation including order entry, verification, electronic medical record charting, medication management, and patient safety reports
• Process patient charges and run verification reports as needed
• Disassemble, clean, assemble, and perform preventative maintenance on respiratory equipment
• Transport neonatal patients to and from referral health systems while providing high-quality critical care

Position Details

• Shift: 3x12 NOC (nights)
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Weekly pay: $2,721.60

Required Credentials

You must obtain all of the following certifications prior to your start date:

• North Dakota Respiratory Therapist license
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (AHA)
• NRP (RQI Partners)
