Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work every other weekend schedule
• No on-call responsibilities
• 16 hours guaranteed per week
• Float between Med Surg and Stepdown units
• Patient ratios: Days/Evenings 1:4/5, Nights 1:6
• Care for all types of patients involved with med surg stepdown
• Scrub colors: black or navy
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless unit is closed
• Minimum 36 months progressive care, stepdown, or med surg experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Experience administering nitro, heparin, amiodarone including titrates required
• Stepdown experience preferred
• Critical care experience nice to have
• Neurology care experience preferred
• Oncology care experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS
• Iowa nursing license required
• Skills checklist specific to progressive care, stepdown, or med surg required
• Professional reference from charge/supervisor/nurse manager within 24 months preferred
