Radiation Therapist Job in Bakersfield, CA

Comprehensive Blood and Cancer Center in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a Radiation Therapist to join its Oncology service line on a 91-day travel assignment. You will deliver external beam radiation therapy services to patients requiring advanced cancer treatment.

Role Responsibilities

• Perform External Beam Radiation Therapy treatments including 3D, IMRT, SBRT, SRS, and IGRT techniques
• Operate and maintain proficiency with Varian TrueBeam and Clinac IX accelerators
• Work with planning and delivery systems including ARIA/Eclipse, Accuray CyberKnife, and Elekta Flexitron
• Complete all patient charting in Cerner and verify records using the ARIA record and verify system
• Deliver high-quality patient care in alignment with facility protocols

Schedule and Compensation

• 5x8 hour day shifts with variable start times
• No weekend or holiday requirements
• No on-call responsibilities
• Weekly pay: $3,351
• Assignment start: November 9, 2026

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Program
• Current ARRT (T) certification
• Valid BLS certification
• 2–3 years of hands-on radiation therapy experience preferred
• Teal scrubs required
