Job Details:

• Night shift position with schedule options of 3x12 or 4x12 (overtime billed after 48 hours on 4x12 schedule)
• 48-hour contract with overtime after 48 hours available
• Weekday shifts, every other weekend, float, and holidays within contract
• Patient ratios of 1:2-3
• Must be willing to float to Stepdown Unit and may also be floated to ED/MedSurg to care for ICU patients being held
• Strong neuro experience required including post-neurosurgical, EVD, and stroke management
• Required skills include ventilator management, IV drip titration, telemetry monitoring, conscious sedation, and dysrhythmia and emergency management
• Patient populations include neurosurgical and post-stroke, respiratory failure, renal failure, post-surgical, trauma, sepsis and MODS, and heart failure and post-cardiac cath
• Patients served include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• 3 years of critical care experience preferred; strong candidates with less experience will be considered
• Travel experience preferred
• Must be EPIC proficient - no exceptions
• VA or compact license in hand at time of submittal required - no exceptions
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS via American Heart Association
• EKG testing required with a minimum score of 80% to pass; one attempt given with no remediation available
• Must reside more than 50 miles from facility
