ICU RN Job in Prescott Valley, AZ

Yavapai Regional Medical Center - East is seeking an RN (Registered Nurse) for its 10-bed ICU unit in Prescott Valley, Arizona. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 13, 2026, offering $2,229.12 weekly.

Shift and Schedule

• 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, day shift hours 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday rotation to distribute holidays fairly
• First to float when low census, with staff rotating standby turns

Unit Structure and Patient Care

• Multi-acuity unit covering ICU, PCU, and Med-Surg patients on one unit—no floating between units for acuity levels
• Patient ratios depend on acuity: ICU 1:2, PCU 1:4, Med-Surg 1:5–6, or 1:3 primary care if no nurse aide available
• Titrate drips including sedation, vasopressors, and insulin
• Read cardiac monitor strips and perform 12-lead EKGs; ICU patients monitored via bedside cardiac monitor
• Work with RT-supported equipment: ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP
• Remote monitor techs available for PCU and Med-Surg patients
• Charting via Cerner

Float Responsibilities

• May float to East Campus Med-Surg and Pediatric units for adult Med-Surg care
• May float to West Campus in Prescott for ICU and PCU patients with two-hour notice

Common Diagnoses

Sepsis, suicide attempt, drug or alcohol withdrawal, COPD, respiratory arrest, pneumonia, DKA, blood pressure or heart rate abnormalities, post-op complications, and non-titratable infusions.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years ICU experience; may consider 1 year ICU and 1 year PCU/Med-Surg from larger facilities with strong skills
• Pass dysrhythmia exam with 80% or higher within two attempts before signing contract
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• BSN not required
• Any scrub color except camouflage

Cancellation Policy

4 shifts per contract; 3 shifts if contract is under 13 weeks.
