PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - ICU Stepdown

Job Details:

• Rotating day, evening, and night shift schedule including weekends and holidays
• 36 or 48 hours per week
• On-call and charge responsibilities per unit needs
• Care for a diverse patient population in a mixed-acuity neurosurgical unit
• Work with multidisciplinary teams specializing in brain tumors, spinal malformations, neuroendovascular, and epilepsy surgery
• Provide floor-level and high-acuity step-down care for patients requiring hemodynamic and neurological monitoring
• Experience with Q1 neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar drains, subdural drains, 3% NS, Cardene drips, and arterial lines preferred
• Experience with carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coiling/clips, DBS insertion, VP shunts, and seizure management preferred
• Stepdown/PCU experience required
• High acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• New York RN license required
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
• ACLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
• NIHSS certification required
