ED RN Job in Lufkin, TX

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at CHI St Lukes Health-Memorial Lufkin. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting July 20, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,021.76.

Shift and Schedule

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM)
• Every other weekend and every other holiday requirement
• No on-call or standby duties
• Self-scheduling available with shift options including 9-9, 11-11, 1-1, and 3-3

Clinical Environment

• 24-bed ED with 3 trauma bays and a fast track area
• Patient ratio of 1 to 4
• Department sees 80–90 patients per day
• Common diagnoses: trauma, stroke, sepsis, CHF, and cardiac conditions
• Separate triage area; occasional triage responsibilities for travelers
• ER holds intermixed within the ED
• In-house security available

Clinical Responsibilities and Requirements

• You must independently read and interpret ECG rhythms (no monitor technicians on staff)
• Phlebotomy performed by tech or RN
• Respiratory therapy team handles ventilators, CPAP, BiPap, high flow, and ABGs
• CT and X-ray located adjacent to the ED
• Floating to qualified units may be required
• Charting system: Paragon EMR
• Navy scrubs required

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• TNCC, ENPC, or PALS certification
• BSN not required
