Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 4x12 day shift schedule (48-hour weeks)
• Shift hours are days
• Patient ratio of 1:6-7 utilizing a team nursing model, splitting caseload between 2 RNs, LPN, and Med Nurse
• On-call required as needed
• Weekend coverage required as needed
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg/Tele experience required; 3+ years preferred
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Large hospital experience required
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• 45-bed unit with primary surgical oncology patients, medical oncology overflow, and med-surg overflow
• Patients frequently present with central lines including PICC lines, PAC, and midlines
• Perform wound care, drain management, ostomy care, Foley catheter management, and PCA pump management
• Chemotherapy administration for ONS-certified nurses only
• Limited phlebotomy coverage at night
• Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• Skills required: IV start; chemotherapy administration and conscious sedation for qualified nurses
• EPIC experience preferred
• ADN accepted; BSN not required for this position
• Must hold an active RN license in Tennessee or a compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines
• Must be willing to work 2 of 3 end-of-year holidays if all three fall within the assignment, or at least 1 if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment
