Opportunity:

SLP - SLP

Job Details:

• No on-call responsibilities
• No weekend shifts required unless a holiday falls within Monday through Friday, in which case hours may be made up on the weekend
• Missouri state license required
• CCC-SLP certification required
• Minimum 1 year of SLP experience required
• New graduates accepted with Level II clinical experience (Level I observation experience only is not sufficient)
• Long-term care or rehabilitation experience required
• Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders
• Develop appropriate plan of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record
• Evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness and modify services based on patient evaluation
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to speech disorders
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans
• Provide comprehensive discharge summaries per regulatory and clinical requirements
• Document all required information in the electronic documentation system and maintain patient records according to company policy
• Accurately record treatment minutes for services provided per all regulatory and clinical requirements
• Participate in required meetings including patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
• Participate in facility and company required trainings, in-services, and conferences
• Obtain necessary DME or supplies per regulatory and clinical practice requirements
• Supervise and support CFY or student Speech-Language Pathologists as needed
• Adhere to ASHA and state required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice
