Ultrasound Technologist Job in Charleston, SC

MUSC Health Charleston is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 13, 2026. You will work 3x12 shifts Monday through Thursday from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM with holiday rotation and no on-call requirements.

Role and Responsibilities

• Perform general ultrasound procedures including abdominal doppler imaging, renal and liver transplant imaging
• Float between Main Hospital and ART campus as needed
• Manage daily caseloads varying in volume and complexity
• Demonstrate proficiency in abdominal aorta, renal artery duplex, TIPS, color flow doppler, and transvaginal imaging
• Chart in Epic system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year ultrasound experience; prior travel assignment required (first-timers considered only if from a large teaching facility)
• Graduation from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
• Current BLS certification
• ARDMS or ARRT (S) certification
• Experience working at a large hospital
• Proficiency in abdominal doppler imaging, renal transplant, and liver transplant imaging
• Trauma Level I experience preferred

Equipment and Environment

• Experience with Philips and Siemens equipment preferred
• Scrub colors: teal tops and black bottoms
• Radiation badge not required
• SC state ultrasound licensure not required

Compensation and Benefits

• Weekly pay: $2,073.60
• Guaranteed hours subject to facility calling off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Parking pass available for one-time $20 payment (nights and weekends only)
