CCU RN Job in Louisville, KY

Baptist Healthcare System, Inc. is seeking a registered nurse for our Coronary Care Unit in Louisville, Kentucky. This is a 12-hour day shift position with a duration of 89 days, beginning November 16, 2026. You will earn $2,397.60 per week.

In this role, you will provide direct patient care to individuals in the coronary care setting, applying evidence-based nursing practice and the full nursing process. Your responsibilities include:

• Performing comprehensive patient assessments aligned with RN scope of practice
• Conducting nursing rounds, assessments, and treatments specific to coronary care patients
• Managing admission, transfer, and discharge activities, including timely execution of discharge orders
• Recognizing and communicating changes in patient condition to the care team
• Providing patient and family education tailored to individual needs
• Developing problem lists and prioritizing patient care in coordination with the inter-professional team
• Delegating tasks appropriately and overseeing team members in patient care activities
• Participating in unit-based quality improvement initiatives, including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, and CAUTI monitoring
• Coordinating treatment planning and care coordination with Case Management and other departments as needed

You will implement professional nursing practice centered on the whole patient, with focus on healing and wellness. Clinical decision-making will emphasize critical thinking and creativity in accordance with hospital and department policies, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines. You will work to promote a positive group dynamic and healing environment through collaborative nursing excellence.
