ED RN Job in Lufkin, TX

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday requirement
• No on-call or standby requirement
• Self-scheduling available for days, nights, and various shift rotations
• Patient ratio of 1 to 4
• 2 years of emergency department experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS or ENPC
• Must be able to read and interpret ECG rhythms independently (no monitor technicians on unit)
• Experience with common diagnoses including trauma, stroke, sepsis, CHF, and cardiac conditions
• Work in a 24-bed emergency department with 3 trauma bays seeing 80-90 patients per day
• Fast track and separate triage area available with occasional triage responsibilities
• ER holds are intermixed within the department
• Charting system: Paragon
• Floating to qualified units may be required
• Navy scrubs required
• BSN not required
• Up to 4 shift cancellations allowed per 13-week assignment
