<p><strong>Allied Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Therapist</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work in the respiratory therapy unit of a hospital exercising considerable independent clinical judgment<br>• May be required to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays<br>• Must have Hawaii RT license before starting<br>• Initiate, monitor and maintain volume and pressure cycled respiration units for patients requiring continuous ventilation<br>• Perform emergency intubation and arterial punctures<br>• Evaluate laboratory results and make ventilator adjustments to maintain arterial blood gases within normal limits<br>• Participate in administering and initiating cardiopulmonary resuscitation as part of the resuscitation team<br>• Assess and evaluate patients with respiratory disorders including critically ill, pediatric, and neonatal patients<br>• Administer age-specific treatments and communicate with patients and families<br>• Perform chest physiotherapy treatments including postural drainage, percussion and vibration<br>• Operate pulmonary function testing equipment to obtain respiratory process data<br>• Operate pulse oximetry monitors for spot checking SP02<br>• Provide patient and family education on respiratory therapy treatments<br>• Perform cardiopulmonary rehabilitation services with extensive patient teaching<br>• Conduct electroencephalogram procedures with electrode placement and monitoring<br>• Perform polysomnography for sleep studies<br>• Maintain equipment, perform routine record keeping, and participate in training programs<br>• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRTT) certification required<br>• Holiday pay based on hours worked on New Year's Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive respiratory therapy unit providing critical care services for patients with respiratory diseases and disorders.
