About this role

You'll work as a Special Procedures Technologist in Interventional Radiology and Cardiology at St. Josephs Hospital, part of Baycare Health System in Tampa, Florida. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting October 12, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

  • 4x10 shift schedule: 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Weekend coverage required (minimum 2 weekends per month)
  • On-call: 8–10 days per month with 30-minute response time; on-call sleep rooms available
  • Weekly pay: $2,770

Clinical Environment

  • Daily caseload: 20–30 patients per tech
  • Daily census: 30–40 patients
  • 4 procedure rooms (3 Siemens biplane, 1 GE biplane)
  • Case types: stroke intervention, neurointerventions, PE thrombectomy and thrombolysis, DVT interventions, pain management, oncology procedures (Y-90, MAAs, chemoembolizations)
  • Patient populations: neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year vascular experience; 2 years preferred
  • Travel experience required
  • Community hospital experience required
  • Trauma Level I experience required; Trauma Level II preferred
  • Active Florida license at time of submission
  • Certifications: BLS, ARRT R, ARRT VI, ARRT Advanced Certification
  • Cerner charting system experience required; preferred

Essential Skills

  • PACS, contrast administration, biopsies, stents, ablations, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrography, kyphoplasty
  • Peripherals, upper and lower extremity procedures, abdominal and pelvic procedures
  • Vascular and neurological studies, stroke thrombectomy IR experience
  • Preferred: 3D imaging, venous access, hemodynamic monitoring, IV starts, phlebotomy, C-arm, lead tech experience, pediatric interventional radiology

You'll float within the hospital as needed and wear black or navy scrubs. This role offers exposure to a high-acuity Trauma Level I facility with diverse interventional cases and multi-generational patient care.
